Thanksgiving
We were fortunate enough to be able to fly down to Arizona for a short but very sweet Thanksgiving break. The whole Price family got together (every 4 years there is a massive reunion with lots and lots of extended family) and all 80 something of us had dinner at Village Inn on Thanksgiving (surprisingly- the food was not bad at all). To my dismay, I always forget to take pictures while on vacation but here are just a few of our little vacation.
Day at the Planetarium
Chip and Kamila on the moon...I love how this little girl looks at her Daddy. I think she may be wrapped around his little finger just how he is on hers.
Happy Halloween!
We tried to do the whole trick-or-treater thing but Kamila wasn't having it. She did fine for about 20 minutes and was then done with her costume and with Hallow's Eve altogether. I'm glad we managed to snap at least a couple of pics. Hope you had a Happy Halloween!
Kamila's first try of cereal!
She loved it! She ate it all up...AND finally slept all night like she used to. Thank goodness!
Drive up the Provo Canyon
Yesterday we took our first Fall drive up the beautifully colored canyon. I had to collect leaves for a craft night that I had with some girlfriends and Chip wisely suggested the canyon as my gathering venue. I'm so glad he did! Fall season is so wonderful here in Utah...I love the reds, oranges and bright yellows that decorate the mountain. The drive was perfect, Kami enjoyed it and we were able to also enjoy the scenery as the sun started its decent. Kami woke up from a very brief nap as we go to the top and so we luckily were able to grab a passerby and got him to snap one picture of our little family. We will definitely miss the manifestations of Fall season in Utah when we leave.
Daddy and Kami
This is what Chip and Kami sometimes do while I am at school. Along the other daddy duties, Chip will play W.O.W. and sit Kami on his lap. I guess she doesn't mind at all and enjoys bonding with dad. She will be 13 weeks tomorrow, isn't that crazy?! Seriously, where does the time go? I love you two so much.
Date Night
We did it!! Chip and I had our first night out on the town without our little princess. Kami stayed home with my bestest friend and her boyfriend. They are the best...Kami was asleep by 8:30 and we left at 9. We had dinner at a new place in downtown Provo called Spark and then went to catch a movie. It is funny to me to think of how I would take outings alone with my handsome date for granted. It is sooo much fun to go out alone, as in a REAL date. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I have no pictures to show for our evening :( . Dinner was so good, the food is definitely gourmet and the ambiance is very chic. It reminded me of all the neat places they have in San Francisco. I hope we get to do this more often. Thanks Lau for taking care of Kami. You're the sweetest friend. We love you!
Kami's First Photo Shoot
My sweet cousin Jessi (who is more like my sister) took Kami's first professional pictures while we were visiting in El Paso. They turned out so pretty; she is so talented and creative. It was quite an ordeal. Who would have thought that a baby photo shoot could last at least 3 hours?! Jessi said that she has had some that last more than 5! After Kamila pooped and peed all over Jessi and her carpet (sorry Jess :( ), I finally got her to fall deeply asleep and Jessi went to work. Thank you Jessi, we love you!
2 months
Time is going by soooo fast. I look at her sweet face and realize that she has changed so much and it actually has made me cry. I don't want her to grow up this fast!
Kamila hates tummy time but today she delighted me with this gorgeous smile that just makes mommy melt. How I love you little girl.
Kami loves the bouncer!
Kamila has been very alert since her first week but now she just absorbs everything around her. It is hard to believe that she just turned 6 weeks yesterday! It is so much fun to watch her grow and respond to people and things. Unfortunately, we stopped recording right before she seemed to be giggling! Anyhow, she is so cute and loves the bouncer!
One Month Old
These pictures were taken on August 2nd and my sweet baby keeps growing and growing. It kinda makes me sad to think that soon she will no longer fit so snuggly in my arms. Isn't she beautiful?!
Baby Blessing
We blessed Kami in Phoenix so that both of our immediate families could be there. It was very special to have our parents and all of our siblings and their families there (except for my brother Ariel who is on his mission). I am so grateful for the Church and the priesthood. What a blessing to have a husband who can bless your child. Kami was very quiet and reverent during the blessing but later I heard that she was passing gas through the whole blessing! Hehe...
My cousin Jessi and her husband Matt and their 3 boys also made it to the blessing. It was very neat to be able to share this experience with people that you love so much. Thanks to all of you who were there, especially to those who had to make a trip out there. We love you all so much.

Having dinner at El Encanto is one of our favorite things to do when in AZ. The food is soo good and the ambiance is awesome. There are ducks and swans swimming in that pond behind us and you can be seated out in the open right next to the pond. Very romantic! 
Here we are with Grandad. He is 92 years old and still as lucid as day and he even cracks jokes. Kami is Grandad's 27th? great-grandchild! What a beautiful legacy he and Grammie have left for us.
More Travels....
Our week in California rapidly came to an end and it was time for Chip to come back to Utah (work) and for Kamila and I to go to Texas. It was such a neat time. She got to meet her great grandparents, my dad and siblings. She definitely got all the attention in the world. Being home is always great, but this time it was even more special. Being a mother myself now, I have become more aware and appreciative of my own mother. No one ever tells you how hard motherhood really is. However, I have been blessed with the most sweet and tender mother in the world. I have learned so much from her. Those 2 weeks we were there I savored watching my mom and dad interact more with their first grandchild. How I wish we lived closer! I miss El Paso, the great food and beautiful sunsets. Mostly, I miss my amazing family. I miss my dad and sisters and cute brother-in-law. You all made our stay so comfortable and memorable. We miss you and love you!
California
After Baka left, the three of us packed up and drove to San Diego for the yearly Price reunion at the beach. Kami is the youngest baby ever to go to a reunion- at only 2 weeks old! She is such a good baby, did great on the drive there and overall. We are so blessed. Mom and Dad rented the cutest beachhouse for all of us to stay at for a week. For pictures of the actual house, you can check out my sisters blog here. Although I did not get much time on the beach. It is SO hard to take a baby to the beach, I guess that is partly due to the fact that I am OCD when it comes to cleanliness and the thought of getting Kami all soiled in sand was not an option. We did manage to take her along with us twice so that was nice. So Kami and I mostly hung out at the house with Darcy and Brig who also have tiny babies. Our fun mostly happened at night when the whole crew would go out for dinner, walks on the beach, or to Belmont Park for the most delicious ice cream cones. They are out of this world good! Mostly, it was nice to be with the whole family and get to spend some time together relaxing and enjoying each others company. Can't wait for next year!
Nana and Baka
My sweet mother was here for the delivery (2 weeks total) to help out. It was so comforting to have her around. I sure do miss her...I hate being so far away from my family! :( We got to cook, take walks, do shopping, just about anything to help get labor started (although they were very unsuccessful attempts I might add). She is such an amazing mother. I don't know what my life would be without you mom.
My mother-in-law came to help out as well the day after my mom left. I am so spoiled! It was great having so much help. We love you Baka and thank you for everything you do for us.
Kamila Price
After much anticipation and a long night, our little girl was born on Thursday, July 2 at 11:51 a.m. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 in long. I was induced Wednesday night and was in labor for about 10 hours with no success. My blood pressure was off the charts and kept climbing and to make matters worse, I had only dilated to a 3. My doctor then advised us to consider having a c-section done mainly for my safety and secondly, if we didn't it could cause the baby to be under stress. I was very upset and so was Chip but after making it a matter of prayer, we decided that it would be the best thing to do. He immediately told the doctor that we would proceed with the operation and about 35 minutes later, I saw the most beautiful and tender face pop up from behind the curtain, screaming at the top of her lungs. I don't know how to describe what I felt. Looking at your child for the first time really is the most tender and fascinating thing I have ever experienced. It is amazing how you are completely smitten after just a glance. There really is such a thing as love at first sight.

Laura
This was an exciting weekend for one of my best friends, Laura. She and I have been friends since we were 10. I love our friendship, she is more like another sister to me than just a really good friend. This weekend we went up to a bbq competition at the Snowbird resort on Friday to celebrate that she would be going through the temple for her endowments the following day. It was nice to drive up the canyon and have yummy pulled pork sandwiches. On Saturday, we went to the Provo temple to share that milestone with her. I was a little aprehensive about going to the temple at 40 weeks since Kamila could come at any minute. Could you imagine?! I would be mortified if my water were to break at the temple! Luckily this little girl seems to love my womb and has no intention of coming early or on time, apparently. It was a very sweet feeling to be there with Laura. Im so grateful for friends like her and for temples.
