So called Spring in Utah

This is what I woke up to today. I couldn't believe it! Here we are, mid-April with 6 inches of snow on the ground. How do people live with this forever and ever? I am so tired of the cold!

Goodbye Study, Hello Nursery

We have FINALLY started our nursery project after what seems to be pulling teeth for poor Chip. He hates painting and decorating and all that good stuff (which I love!). He is such a good sport though and is doing an excellent job at preparing his little girl's room. Let the fun begin!--At least for me :D

Daddy hard at work! Chipper, you are the best.

Baby Shower

One of my best friends, Laura, and her sweet mom threw a baby shower for Kamila and me yesterday. It was so nice to see some of my best girlfriends, especially since I haven't seen most of them since before I was pregnant. The food was so good, all made by Lau and mom (except for the chicken salad I made that is my mom's recipe), the cake was delicious (lemon-my favorite), and we had such a fun time. Despite the "horror" stories that any new mom is bound to hear from experienced moms (especially at a shower), I am so excited for this little girl to get here already! She got the cutest little outfits, headband, shoes, etc. I must say that my friends have great taste in fashion! It will be fun to feel like a 6 year-old playing dress up with my real baby.

My cute friend Heather- we are due several days apart. We have an arranged marriage all set up!

Jessica not so comfy in her diaper :)

Nayelli was loving it!

Jessica, Kim and Kim's sister

The "Three Amigas" Laura, Jessica and me. We have grown up together since Primary. I love this picture because I have a picture with Jessica when we turned 8 and got baptized the same day. I love you girls!

Last but not least, diaper making in the making!

6 months down, 3 to go!

I can't believe how fast time is going. I wish the first half of my pregnancy had gone by this fast! This little girl will be here before we know it and, believe it or not, I have yet to paint the nursery, put the things that I do have for her where they belong, gees, even buy an outfit for her. I know, you may be wondering if this means I am not excited- rest assured I am THRILLED but for some reason I keep telling myself I should wait till im done with the baby showers--im weird, I know-- although it is hard to not buy everything made for little girls since everything is so darn cute!! Anyway, I'm excited to think that in 3 months I will be a mom! This is not the best picture but I just wanted to post one since as of yesterday it's month 7 and hopefully I can do this in a month and the next (just for you Bri :] ). It is fun to get things rolling, and actually I have done one thing. I made the nursery's first decoration and am so proud of myself. Excuse the yucky wall, like I said, painting this room is number one on my list...I just had to hang it up! I have been so busy with school and probably should have used the time that it took to make this for homework, but I became addicted.I couldn't stop! I am seriously becoming the typical mormon mommy. At least I can say I have done one thing, right?!

Happy Birthday Chip!

Chip's birthday was on the 27th and because he reached a milestone, he wasn't too excited about it. He had to work that morning which was a bummer but we had a great weekend. That night we had dinner at The Happy Sumo which is a favorite ( a little overpriced and not as good as Katsura-a place in El Paso, in my opinion) with my friend Laura ( i love that girl, she is the best friend ever), then we went home and the Gardners and Davis' joined us for the birthday cake and song. We couldn't finish the day without a movie, so we ran to a 10 o'clock showing of The Uninvited with our friends Aaron and Naida. It was actually better than I expected. The next morning we woke up too early for a Saturday and had breakfast at Cracker Barrell, ran some errands, and ended up meeting our friends the Telfords for lunch at Costco! We then got a call from Ryan and Brigitte and we were invited to have dinner with them at Tucanos. It was so much fun to see them and spend some time with their kids. Anyway, Im grateful for the wonderful husband I have. May you have many more sweetheart!

Snow-Swimming

Of course, the one screaming like a girl is Chip :O)

Happy Valentine's!

Valentine's day started out by having breakfast at home. I made crepes for the first time and we loved them! I love making and having breakfast together yet we rarely get to do it. Then we were off to our day at the Zermatt resort in Midway. It is always so nice to get to do some fun stuff with the cousins.
We hung out at the villa and chated, and then headed to the pool.I love how the boys morph back into 10 year-olds when they are together. They decided that they would get in the pool and then jump out into the snow and roll around, then get back into the pool. It was hilarious! I think the other guests didn't mind the free entertainment at all! (See video above) Afterwards we had yummy pizzas for dinner, then the guys went home and the girls had a sleepover. It was so much fun! I really feel lucky to be in this awesome family. Thanks Shad and Cory for a fun Valentine's Day!
