Before heading out to California, Chip and I left a day early so that we could stay the night in Vegas and see our good friend Matt who is hilarious and such a neat guy. Luckily for me, the boys took me to my favorite place in Vegas which is a boba parlor. They have the yummiest bobas ever!If you have been deprived of one, please see your nearest boba place. You will thank me for it ;)

Mom and Dad Price very generously put together an incredible family vacation in Mission Bay/San Diego. All the four boys and their families were there, which was really neat because Ryan and Brigitte and fam have recently moved back to the States after being in Germany for 3 years. I loved getting to know them since I didn't really get to do so during the crazyness of our wedding.

We spent most of the time at the beach or at the pool at the resort, which was so fun. We got to go to Sea World, which sadly, loses its fantastical magic as you get older. However, I still loved every minute of it and didn't fail to be impressed by huge Shamu. The boys got to go scuba diving and Chip saw all sorts of crab and exotic fish in the La Jolla cove which is also where Bri took our family pictures. Something Chip told me I should include on here is the detail that I flashed a fourth of San Diego. Chip was teaching me the proper way to body surf and on my first successful attempt, I came out of the water with my chest completely bare. The look on his face was hilarious. He rushed over to me and said " Kristal! Your top is gone!" I had no idea. Guess that will be it for body surfing for me.

We went to very yummy seafood places (heck-even Rubio's tastes different when you have access to fresh supplies!),strolled down the boardwalk, played lots of board games with everyone crowded in mom and dad's room before bedtime, went to Belmont park to ride the famous rollercoaster, and just enjoyed each others company. I'm lucky to have two families that I love being a part of.

Yesterday we ventured out into the wilderness with some friends and some of their friends! It was a lot of fun. ALthough I am definitely not an outdoorsy person, this was very enjoyable. It was also ALexa's first time camping! I couldn't believe it! We went up to Maple Canyon which is right by Ephraim, Utah. It is gorgeous! The drive was only about an hour away from Provo, but long enough to see some very unusual things. As we were driving into Epharaim, this herd of cows was blocking the street that we needed to turn into. I thought it was hilarious and jsut had to get a picture. You only see these things in Utah!

Once we got up to the campsite, we enjoyed some time 4-wheeling. I had never done this before and I loved it! We had a blast!!

Enjoying some time around the campfire..

This video is hilarious...you can really see my expertise driving a 4 wheeler!

Today was Alexa's first time at the temple. I was able to watch as she and my girlfriends Laura and Vicki performed the ordinances. It was very neat to see my little sister all grown up now and at the temple, im glad to have been able to share this very special day with her. She was very excited and happy; it reminded me of my first time at the temple.

Chip and I both love to watch movies at home and that liking has been magnified while my little sister has been here. The last movie that we watched at home together was The Bucket List, which is the new addition to my favorites list. I don't want to spoil the movie for those of you who haven't watched it yet so I won't tell you anything except that it is about accomplishing goals and the things that make you and others happy before you die. Alexa and I were sobbing by the end..I feel sorry for Chip! Anyway, since then the thought of a "bucket list" has been lingering in my mind. The list is composed of unresolved or unattempted things that someone wants to do before dying. As corny as it may sound, planning my own 'bucket list' has had an impact on me and the way I perceive things as of late. Hopefully I will be able to hang on to this epiphany for a very long time.

My little sister ALeXa has been visiting us for a week and she will be here for two more. It has been fun pretending to be parents! This past week we have been up to Mill Creek Canyon, had a BBQ at Rock Canyon Park with some of my childhood girlfriends and some of Chip's friends which was a blast. Lots of yummy food, volleyball, and great company.

On Friday night we went to the Orem fair and then returned Saturday night to watch the fireworks after the barbeque. It was a lot of fun. The night would have been absolutely perfect except for the accident that I had while longboarding with Chip. We were both riding it and must have hit a rock and I just flew off and now i have a nice big scratch on my knee to prove it!
Last night we took a drive up to Squaw Peak and we saw 3 deer! Alexa and I were so excited. If you look closely, you will see one, I was able to snap this before the flash scared it away. chip.

Wonderful Celebration

Well, needless to say that Chip outdid himself once more. He never fails to both impress me and surprise me with the thoughtful and very sweet things that he does. We started off our anniversary day by going to lunch and then returned home only to have Chip send me away to get a mani/pedi. It was awesome! It is so nice to be a girl! (Sometimes I feel ludicrous spending 40 bucks just to have someone polish my feet when i could be doing it myself..anyway)
However, the best part of my day was returning home to find my sweet husband looking ravishing as he led me into our kitchen where he had set up a beautifully romantic dinner. He ordered dinner from Chef's Table which was truly succulent and, let me tell you, was served on the new china he bought for us from our wedding registry...I am often amazed at how thoughtful he is. After dinner we went to the movies to catch "What Happens in Vegas", which by the way, is hilarious and a great romantic comedy for both guys and gals. I couldn't have asked for a better day with a better companion! I'm very excited for the many years to come.
p.s.- i came across this quote and loved it!
You know you're in love when you can't sleep...because reality is finally better than your dreams ~Dr. Seuss

Happy Anniversary!

I can't believe it has been a year already! It is so true that time just flies when you are loving what you do. Last year, on this day Chip and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I wish I could go back to that day just so that I could remember more of what the sealer said to us as we were being married. Anyway, Chip has some "suprises" planned out for today and I am so excited to find out what they are!
