4th of July Parade
We made it this year! We have lived in Provo for 3 years and had never been to any of the Independence Day festivities in the area mainly because we would be in San Diego for the annual Price reunion. This year it didn't happen so we figured we better get to it and experience these things before we are living in a different state. The parade was early and PACKED with people. The night before the parade everyone camps out on University Avenue for a huge block party. We drove down and showed the girls and I reminisced about what nights in Mexico are like. This was just like it is every week/weekend night in Mexico. People walking down the streets, music playing somewhere, people sitting out on their porch drinking some soda to cool off, restaurants open till 2 am bursting with ambiance. I digress...back to the parade. It was fun...and a little long. We met up with Ryan and Brigitte's family and enjoyed the floats, marching bands, oh yes- and the flock of missionaries parading down the street. Only in Utah :) . Gotta love it!
